Student FAQ

  • How do I answer discussion questions?

While most everything is done inside the course player, discussion questions are answered inside your school's community. Each discussion question in the course has a corresponding post inside your school's community where you can post your responses. Communities can be found on "My Dashboard" once you login to the Virtual Classroom. If you're inside the course, clicking "Go to Dashboard" will take you to your Student Dashboard where you will be able to access your school's community if you are properly enrolled in Adoption 101.

  • How do I reset or change my password?

On the main sign-in page, click "Forgot Password?" to be guided through the password reset process. If you're already signed in to the course, click the "My Account" button on the site, and then click "Password".

  • How long does the course take?

Most people can complete Adoption 101 in 1 hour and 30 minutes. However, completion time can vary from student to student.

  • Do I have to finish the course in one sitting?

Nope! Our courses are designed so that you can take your time and pace yourself as you like to complete the course. Unless your teacher tells you otherwise, Adoption 101 can be completed at the learner's pace on any internet-connected device.

  • What are the system requirements for the course?

While the course is available on a mobile device, we encourage users to use a desktop or laptop computer for the best experience. This course does not support Internet Explorer. Browsers that can be used to access the course include: Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox.

  • How do I get my certificate?

Once your course completion is 100%, your certificate will be emailed to you directly. You can also access it by clicking "My Account" and then clicking "Certificates".

  • Why is my progress not being marked complete?

There are a couple reasons for this. 1) Video completion is calculated inside each lesson and requires users to reach the end of every video to gain completion for that lesson. 2) The "Complete and Continue" button at the bottom of each lesson must be pressed to record lesson completion.
